How the Detection Works
The engine runs five independent detection passes against each invoice, cross-referencing contracted rate tables, BOL records, TMS appointment logs, and the EIA weekly diesel price index.
Rate Overcharge
Compares each billed $/lb against the master contract for that carrier/lane pair. Flags any invoice where the billed rate exceeds the contracted rate by more than 0.5%.
Duplicate Invoice
Hashes PRO number + invoice date. Any collision after the first occurrence is surfaced as a potential duplicate billing.
Accessorial Anomaly
Scans for detention line items, then cross-checks the TMS for a matching delivery appointment record. No appointment = unvalidated charge.
Weight Discrepancy
Compares billed weight against the original BOL weight. Variances above 10 lb are flagged with the resulting dollar overcharge calculated.
Fuel Surcharge Error
Looks up the EIA diesel price band for the ship week, then validates the applied FSC percentage against the carrier's published index. Tolerates ±0.5 percentage points.
